Without overly romanticizing things, I think there's a kind of energy in the materials I use. The bikes may have had half a dozen owners over their lifespans, taking their riders on adventures all over the city and beyond. And the pallets may have carried everything from produce to printers from coast to coast - so as goofy as it sounds, that wood has a history.
It's 'About' Time to Ride
Inspired by a bicycle rim 'Welcome' sign hanging over a good friend's front porch, I thought to myself 'hey, I bet I could make something like that', and my journey began.
I get old, beat-up bikes generally unworthy of repair. For what it would cost to make them rideable (or desirable to ride), it would be cheaper just to buy something used. So I'm giving them a second (or third, or possibly even fourth) life by upcycling them into something useful and decorative.
In a similar vein of upcycling and environmental responsibility, I try to use old discarded pallets for the wood I need, and tend to hoard scrap lumber from home projects. The idea isn't just to save a few bucks on materials - it's about using what's already out there before it gets thrown in the dump. (and trust me when I say that any cost saving on materials comes at the VERY steep price of the time involved to turn junk into something beautiful, lol)

At any given time I have several pieces ready for sale, but I'm always experimenting with new ideas, and most of my sales are custom requests. IMPORTANT - most of what you'll see on this site are things that were custom made and sold already. Some are still for sale, so if you see something you want let me know - if it's already sold then we can talk about making something custom for you!
Because pretty much everything I use is salvaged (except for the clock mechanisms and sometimes light fixtures) it's really hard for me to make something EXACTLY like what's in your mind, or duplicate something.
But I enjoy the back-and-forth creative process of working with my clients, will do my best to capture the essence of what you want, and can guarantee that what you purchase will truly be one of a kind!
